MATHILDE ANNE - I'VE HAD ENOUGH

Mathilde Anne delivers a power anthem with a punch…

Melbourne songstress Mathilde Anne’s latest single “I’ve Had Enough” just dropped and boy, is it a banger.

Written following the break up of a traumatic relationship, it’s sugar coated pop punk with a middle finger in the air to toxic relationships.

The tune was co-written with an all-star female team of Cheryl Beattie, Maxon, and Nayomi Pattuwage (released through Sandhill Records) and has already done its spins on the Triple J circuit.

“I’ve Had Enough” lures us in with Mathilde’s muffled vocals and acoustic guitar, but soon drops into full head bopper mode with a full suite of guitar and drums, produced by Brunswick based James Seymour.

Mathilde and her team have turned fresh wounds from the dating world into a lyrically pleasing tune worthy of a repeat play.

The use of everyday conversation lines is possibly what makes the song so singalongable. Yes, that’s a word. //how does it feel to bring me down, what, don’t wanna be seen with me now?//.

Speaking about her influences, Mathilde credits her creative family upbringing, her early use of poetry to express herself and training as a violinist for eight years.

Having once been told that she was “shocking” at singing (can you believe?), Mathilde has come a long way with guidance from Cheryl Beattie at the Music Industry.

This pop princess is on the way up, and we definitely cannot get enough of her.
